Photos from near Randolph on 2004jun16:

Both the yellow-flowers (YellowStargrass) were shot at -0.7ev; and yet the one in sunlight is badly overexposed; my camera is especially prone to overexposing bright yellows.

Photos from Kleefeld on 2004jun16:

Both Doris and I saw the insect inside that lady-slipper but were unable to identify it. Photographing it was difficult because it was flitting to-and-fro very rapidly. After these photos, I observed something flying away from the slipper, and the activity ceased. Perhaps it was a large mosquito; and possibly its strange behaviour was due to a war going on between it and another insect?
