-- the programmable sign was aimed toward the Floodway Gate when I photographed it;  a minute or so later one person came over to reorient the sign toward the road, another came over to tell us to leave;

-- in 2010 the City of Winnipeg streetcleaning crew gave us no warning at all, and so they got to tow all our cars;  my car being towed caught me so completely by surprise that I reported a stolen car;  this time they're making up for that: they've given us an entire week of "No Parking" though the street has yet to be cleaned;  I'm not sure it's an improvement;
