-- the seed-head has 17 faces;  several faces are "missing" at the bottom where the stem is;  it may be an icosahedron, a regular polyhedron with 20 identical equilateral triangular faces, five meeting at each of 12 vertices;  having 30 edges, it's one of the five Platonic solids;
